The Karori Business Improvement District is a partnership between the local business community and Wellington City Council.
The BID covers commercial properties along Karori Road, from Marsden Village to the Karori Town Centre. It is funded through a targeted rate paid by commercial property owners within the BID area. Only buildings currently paying commercial rates within the Karori BID contribute. The building owner pays the targeted rate and may then choose to on-charge it to their tenants.
